ABOUT US
A brief history......of Executive Associations
The Executive movement first started in San Francisco in 1915, when a printer named L.E. Cummings gathered a group of eight businessmen for the express purpose of discussing ideas that would benefit businessmen. Of those first eight, Pacific Gas and Electric is still a member of the San Francisco Executive Association. The group officially organized in July, 1916.
Each organization is autonomous, but each year an international meeting is held and attended by Executive Directors and association members to share ideas and promote business on a national basis.
Today, there are over 100 executive associations throughout the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, and South Africa, all from this modest beginning some 82 years ago.
. . . . . . and the Executives Association of Charlotte.
The Executive Association of Greater Charlotte (name changed to Executives Association of Charlotte in January of 2002) was formed in 1968 by a small group of Charlotte business people. The Executive Association of Greater Columbia helped with the start. Don Mullis of Mullis Oil was one of the founding members and is still active.
Our association presently has approximately 60 members with business exchange and leads generating more than a million dollars each year for members and their associates.
